Seattle Mariners outfielder Ichiro Suzuki went 3-for-5 with an RBI single Wednesday to continue his hot hitting in a preseason game against the Kansas City Royals.

Suzuki singled to center, drove in a run with a single to left and doubled down the right-field line, raising his preseason average to .474 (9-for-19). He flied out to center in his other two at-bats.
"I had a good and useful time. It's no use being too ambitious," Suzuki said of the five games he played in Arizona before moving on to Las Vegas to play the Los Angeles Dodgers on Thursday.
