ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Ichiro Suzuki saw daylight for one at-bat, but now he's back in the dark.
After leading off Sunday's 4-3 loss to the United States in the World Baseball Classic with a home run, Ichiro went hitless for the remainder of the night, including an intentional walk in the ninth inning.
Sunday's 1-for-4 performance lowered his WBC batting average to .258, not including Japan's exhibition games.
