Akinori Iwamura's would-be sacrifice fly brought Tsuyoshi Nishioka home in the bottom of the eighth, but home plate umpire Bob Davidson ruled that Nishioka left third base early, setting up a double play to keep the score tied and kill Japan's bases-loaded, one-out rally.
