Fujimoto extended his hitting streak to eight games, improving his spring average to .424, while probable opening-day starter Igawa rebounded from a shaky start in the first inning to scatter three hits with one strikeout and no walks at Koshien Stadium.
Osamu Hamanaka hit a two-run homer for Hanshin and Takayuki Shimizu homered with a two-run shot for the Giants. Yomiuri right-hander Gary Glover allowed one run and two hits in five innings.
