A few paragraphs to start off this week's column about Jim Lefebvre, manager of the China National Team which competed last weekend against Japan, Korea and Taiwan in the Asia Round of the World Baseball Classic at Tokyo Dome.

his young team go up against players like Ichiro Suzuki in the recent Asia
Round of the World Baseball Classic.
The former Los Angeles Dodgers and Lotte Orions star has done a fantastic job in working with the Chinese youngsters, preparing them for international play, the WBC and -- eventually --the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
