Takeya Nakamura homered twice and went 3-for-5 with three RBIs as the Seibu Lions defeated the Lotte Marines 8-4 in a preseason exhibition game Thursday.

Seibu rookie catcher Ginjiro Sumitani hit a two-run single in a 2-for-4 outing at Chiba Marine Stadium, while Fumiya Nishiguchi held Bobby Valentine's team scoreless in four innings of work in his first start of the spring.

Lotte right-hander Satoshi Tejima had a shaky outing, giving up three runs and six hits in four innings.

At Osaka Dome, Orix infielder Kazuhiro Kiyohara had his first hit and RBI of the preseason with a run-scoring single on a 1-for-3 afternoon.

Left-hander Katsuhiko Maekawa limited Rakuten to one run in 5-1/3 innings in emergency relief of Kazuo Yamaguchi, who left during the first inning. Rakuten starter Kanehisa Arime allowed two runs and no walks in six innings.
