Midfielder Shinji Ono said he wants to score Japan's 100th goal under coach Zico when the team begins its quest for a third consecutive Asian Cup title against India in a qualifier in Yokohama on Wednesday.

"I've been saying I'm not thinking about it but of course I really want to score the 100th goal," Ono told reporters after training Tuesday.

"None of the players talk about it but I'm sure they will all be trying to score once the match starts," added the Urawa Reds star, who is set to start Japan's 63rd game since Zico took over in July 2002.

Japan put 11 goals past India without reply in their home and away qualifiers for this summer's World Cup and although Zico's men are expected to easily beat a team 100 places below them in FIFA's world rankings, the Brazilian is not taking anything for granted.
