The Chunichi Dragons said Saturday they have signed left-hander Claudio Galva, who passed a tryout held earlier this month at the Central League club's spring training camp in Okinawa Prefecture.
The 28-year-old from the Dominican Republic has had a playing career in the U.S. minor leagues and independent league as well as in Taiwan.
