Yakult Swallows infielder Akinori Iwamura, who is attending a training camp in Naha, Okinawa Prefecture, re-signed Thursday with the Central League club for an estimated 216 million yen in annual salary plus performance-related incentives.

Iwamura, who had not reached an agreement on the bonus portion of his salary in his last round talks with the team in time for the start of spring training, agreed on his 27th birthday to a pay raise of 30 million yen.

"I don't think I'll ever have to do this again. This has been an unforgettable birthday," said Iwamura.

Iwamura has made a goal to post above a .300 average, hit 30 or more home runs and produce at least 100 RBIs for the third consecutive year, but said his main focus will be helping his team win the league championship.

Swallows left-hander Hirotoshi Ishii, who put off his attempt to move to the major leagues last month, is the only player yet to re-sign with the team.
