Elsewhere, Chunichi Dragons veteran lefty Masahiro Yamamoto re-signed for an unchanged estimated amount of 230 million yen for the final year of a two-year deal with the Central League team.
Chunichi signed outfielder Kosuke Fukudome to a new one-year deal after both sides agreed on a 255 million yen annual salary in the third round of talks for a 55 million yen raise from last year.
