Former Boston Red Sox right-hander Denney Tomori on Monday signed with the Chunichi Dragons on a contract carrying a 45 million yen annual salary plus performance-related bonuses.
Tomori left the Yokohama BayStars and signed with Boston in January on a minor-league contract with the hopes of playing in the major leagues.
The 38-year-old played for the Triple-A Pawtucket and Double-A Portland this past season.
