The Japanese Olympic Committee on Tuesday named veteran speed skater Tomomi Okazaki as captain of the country's delegation for the upcoming Winter Olympic Games in Turin.
The JOC also selected fellow sprint speed skater Joji Kato as the flag bearer.
The world-record holder and gold medal favorite will lead Japanese athletes and officials in the Feb. 10 opening ceremony.
