Omiya Ardija have reached a contract agreement to retain the services of manager Toshiya Miura next season, team officials said Friday.
Miura, 42, guided Omiya to a 13th place finish to remain in the J-League first division in their first challenge at the top flight this season.
Omiya just missed out on an Emperor's Cup final spot, falling 4-2 to Urawa Reds after extra time on Thursday. Urawa will meet Shimizu S-Pulse in a New Year's Day showdown.
