FC Tokyo on Tuesday named Brazilian Gallo as the new manager of the J. League first-division club.
The 38-year-old Gallo, a former assistant coach to current Brazil national team coach Carlos Alberto Parreira at Corinthians, takes over the reins from Hiromi Hara, who stepped down as Tokyo manager earlier this month.
Gallo managed at Brazilian club Santos this year but was sacked by Pele's former club at the end of September and replaced by former Nagoya Grampus Eight manager Nelsinho.
