Japan will play Finland in a home friendly on Feb. 18 as part of their preparations for the World Cup finals in Germany next summer, Japan Football Association President Saburo Kawabuchi said Wednesday.
Kawabuchi, who did not disclose any other details about the Finland match, also said another home friendly is being planned in March -- against fellow World Cup qualifier Ecuador.
Soccer's world governing body FIFA has already listed the Japan-Ecuador friendly on March 30 on its match calendar in its official Web site but Kawabuchi said the JFA has yet to sign an official contract for it.
Japan will meet the United States in a friendly in San Francisco on Feb. 10.
