Japan and Kashima Antlers midfielder Mitsuo Ogasawara, who picked up an injury in a J. League match Saturday, is expected to be out of action for the rest of the season.
Kashima said Tuesday that Ogasawara damaged a groin muscle during the 1-1 home draw with FC Tokyo and needs three to four weeks to recover.
He has pulled out of the Japan squad for Wednesday's friendly against Angola.
