Women's marathon world record holder Paula Radcliffe of Britain and Athens Olympic silver medalist Catherine Ndereba of Kenya will run in the upcoming Chiba international ekiden race, the Japan Association of Athletics Federations said Monday.
Radcliffe and Ndereba, who finished 1-2 in the women's marathon at the world championships in Helsinki in August, top the list of runners taking part in the six-leg, 42.195-kilometer road relay in Chiba on Nov. 23. Megumi Oshima, 10th in the world championship marathon, is among six runners named to the Japanese women's team.
