Australia sent Japan to its third straight loss in an 86-58 demolition Sunday to win all three games in the men's basketball Kirin Cup.
The visitors took full advantage of their superior height difference to grab a 49-23 lead by halftime and allowed the host few offensive opportunities with a rock-solid defense at Yoyogi national gymnasium.
Kei Igarashi, the national team's three-point sharp-shooting ace, helped Japan rally with a 22-18 run in the final quarter.
