Manabu Tatsumura completed 12 of 16 passes for 192 yards and two touchdowns Monday to lead the Obic Seagulls to a 27-2 rout of the Asahi Beer Silver Star in the Pearl Bowl final.
With the victory, the Seagulls clinched their first Pearl Bowl title since 2000 and third overall.
Tatsumura, the game's MVP, set the tune for the Seagulls when he hit former NFL Europe player Takao Mizuguchi with a 50-yard scoring pass just 1:34 into the game.
Tatsumura connected with Mizuguchi again for a 43-yard touchdown toss in the third quarter to put the game out of the Silver Star's reach.
