The Japanese and U.S. women's national softball teams will play three exhibition games in Sendai in August, the Japan Softball Association said Wednesday.
The teams are scheduled to play one game on Aug. 3 and two on Aug. 4, all at the domed Shellcom Sendai Stadium.
Japan, the bronze medalist at last summer's Olympic Games, will take on the United States for the first time since losing to the three-time Olympic champion in the preliminary round of the Olympic tournament in Athens.
