Okasho runnerup and race favorite Cesario ruled supreme in the Oaks at Tokyo on Sunday as she cruised to victory a neck ahead of second-pick Air Messiah.
Cesario, a striking black filly, bid her time under Yuichi Fukunaga far to the rear of the 18-strong field as the race unfurled at a slow pace. Into the straight, Cesario showed incredible turn of foot as she came from six behind with 200 meters left. Dia de la Novia finished third.
