Grand champion Asashoryu overpowered Kokkai on Wednesday to remain tied for the lead on the fourth day of the Summer Grand Sumo Tournament.
Yokozuna Asashoryu beats No. 2 maegashira Kokkai with an upper-arm throw at Ryogoku Kokugikan during fourth-day action at the Summer Grand Sumo Tournament.
Asashoryu quickly got a hold of Kokkai's belt after the faceoff and toppled the No. 2 maegashira at the edge to improve to a perfect 4-0. Kokkai dropped to 1-3.
