J. League club Kashiwa Reysol has indefinitely banned 11 soccer fans for their part in a scuffle after Saturday's home game against Nagoya Grampus Eight.
Kashiwa team officials on Wednesday said the 11 men who were banned played a major role in starting a brawl after Nagoya beat Kashiwa 2-0 at Kashiwa Stadium.
Twelve people suffered minor injuries in the incident. Kashiwa officials said the ban could be in effect for at least one year.
Soccer violence is extremely rare in Japan.
