The Japan Triathlon Union said Thursday that Japan will host the world championships, to be held in Aichi Prefecture this fall, for the first time in seven years.
The triathlon world championships, the first in Japan since the 1998 long distance championships were held in Sado Island, Niigata Prefecture, will be staged in Gamagori Sept. 8-11 and will feature team, junior, elite, and U-23 races.
