The Chiba Lotte Marines on Wednesday canceled a pair of regular-season Pacific League baseball games planned for June in South Korea.
The Marines were scheduled to play two regular-season games in South Korea on June 28-29 against the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks, but called the games off due to a disagreement with South Korean baseball officials over venues.
Lotte officials stressed that they still hope to hold regular-season games in South Korea next year.
