The J. League has concluded that the controversial goal scored off the hand of Jubilo Iwata midfielder Takashi Fukunishi in Saturday's match against Yokohama F. Marinos was legitimate, J. League Chairman Masaru Suzuki said Tuesday.
Suzuki said the J. League Referees' Committee confirmed that the goal in the dying minutes of Iwata's 1-0 away victory in their season opener went in off Fukunishi's right hand but judged that it was not a deliberate handball.
