Former Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori will become new president of the Japan Amateur Sports Association, officials of the national governing body of amateur sports federations said Tuesday.
The appointment of Mori, 67, was recommended unanimously by the JASA committee in charge of selecting the successor to the current association president, Takayuki Anzai, 71, who leaves his post March 31 on mandatory retirement.
