Japan international midfielder Shunsuke Nakamura scored his second goal of the season to give Reggina a 1-0 win at home to Chievo Verona in the Italian Serie A on Sunday.

Nakamura, who missed practice earlier this week due to a cold, left-footed a direct free-kick into the top right-hand corner past Chievo 'keeper Luca Marchegiani, for the decisive goal at Stadio Oreste Granillo five minutes before halftime.

It was his first goal since Jan. 6, a week before he suffered an injury to his left leg against Inter Milan.

"I felt some pain but as long as I'm playing I have to give it my best," said Nakamura, who played the full 90 minutes for the first time in five games.

Reggina is ninth in the 20-team Serie A table on 35 points.

In Rotterdam, Shinjo Ono, who has not started since he underwent surgery on his left ankle in December, came off the bench in the 69th minute and scored the team's third goal 14 minutes later in Feyenoord's 3-0 win over RBC Roosendaal.

Ono's audacious overhead effort was his fourth goal this season.
