Japanese heavyweight judoka Kosei Inoue will be sidelined for around one month after sustaining an injury to his chest in the Kano Cup international tournament on Sunday, his coach said Tuesday.
Inoue put the disappointment of his shock Athens Olympics defeat behind him on his competitive comeback by toppling Yury Rybak of Belarus in Sunday's final but ruptured a muscle in his chest in the process.
"He's ruptured a muscle and I don't think he will be able to practice for about a month," said coach Hidetoshi Nakanishi.
