CARDIFF, Wales (Kyodo) Japan international midfielder Junichi Inamoto made his debut with Wales second-division side Cardiff City on Sunday in his side's 1-1 home draw to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Inamoto, who recently joined Cardiff on a one-month loan to regain his match fitness following a layoff due to a hairline fracture in his left leg in June, came off the bench in the 36th minute of the second half and attempted to score off a cross from the left in extra time, only to have it stopped by the goalkeeper.

"It's hard to prove myself in the final 10 minutes but it's only my third day," said Inamoto, who moved from Gamba Osaka to West Bromwich Albion FC on a full-transfer deal in August.
