Yuri Fudo, who won the money title for the fifth straight year, and teenage sensation Ai Miyazato shared the LPGA Award for outstanding performances on the women's tour, the Japan LPGA said Tuesday.
Fudo won the award inaugurated last year for the second year in a row, while Miyazato, who finished second on the money list after winning five tournaments, received it for the first time in her first full season on the tour. Fudo also won the Japan LPGA Player of the Year award after finishing the season with seven victories.
Miyazato was named rookie of the year.
