The Yakult Swallows have reached an agreement to acquire former Anaheim Angels outfielder Adam Riggs, the Central League club said Friday.
Riggs, who played for the Angels during the playoffs this past season and is also known as a first baseman, passed a tryout at the team's fall training camp.
Terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed. The 32-year-old has a career .261 average with three homers and 10 RBIs in 61 games in the majors.
