Central League home-run king Tyrone Woods will be made available to other teams as he was not able to reach an agreement on a new contract for next season with the Yokohama BayStars, baseball officials said Sunday.
Baseball sources said the 35-year-old infielder, who hit 45 homers this past season for his second straight CL home-run title, has been asked to re-sign with the BayStars but has not responded positively despite the team setting a Saturday deadline.
