FUKUOKA -- Munenori Kawasaki provided some unexpected power Sunday as the Daiei Hawks downed the Seibu Lions 4-1 to force a decisive Game 5 in the second stage of the Pacific League playoffs.
Kawasaki, who hit only four homers during the regular season, connected for a solo homer in the sixth inning and drove in a run in the fourth at Fukuoka Dome, as the defending Japan Series champion Hawks evened the best-of-five series 2-2.
