WEST BROMWICH, England (Kyodo) Japan international midfielder Junichi Inamoto on Tuesday expressed gratitude to West Bromwich Albion for giving him another chance to play in the English Premier League despite his current injury problems.

The former Arsenal and Fulham man was officially unveiled at the Hawthorns after joining the Baggies on a 2 1/2-year deal after a transfer deadline day switch from J. League club Gamba Osaka.

"When I got injured I was really frustrated because I was worried about whether I could get another contract but then West Brom came onto me and gave me a chance for which I am really grateful," Inamoto told the Midland club's official Web site.

Inamoto's arrival at West Brom has been delayed after he spent the last two weeks at a specialist sports clinic in Japan, where he was receiving treatment on a hairline leg fracture sustained in the 1-1 draw away to England in June.
