Tsuyoshi Wada pitched one-hit ball over six scoreless innings as the first-place Daiei Hawks beat the last-place Orix BlueWave 5-1 in the only Pacific League game on Monday.
Hawks manager Sadaharu Oh has some words with the umps during Monday's game against Orix at Yahoo BB Stadium in Kobe. Oh thought that a double by Tadahito Iguchi should have been ruled a home run. Fukuoka Daiei beat the BlueWave 5-1.
Despite allowing six walks, hitting a batter and throwing a wild pitch, Wada (10-5) held batters hitless through five innings until allowing a single to Kazuhiko Shiotani in the sixth at Yahoo BB Stadium.
It was Daiei's ninth straight win over the BlueWave.
