Alex Ramirez hit a three-run homer and Akinori Iwamura added a solo blast Saturday as the Yakult Swallows downed the Yomiuri Giants 6-3 at Jingu Stadium.
With the score tied 2-2, Ramirez hit a towering blast off Yomiuri starter Masumi Kuwata in the third inning to give the Swallows a 5-2.
Roberto Petagine hit a solo homer in the sixth inning to pull Yomiuri to within two runs but Iwamura responded with his 38th homer of the season in the seventh to give the Swallows a three-run cushion.
