ATHENS (Kyodo) Veteran archer Hiroshi Yamamoto of Japan claimed his first Olympic medal in two decades when he won silver in the men's individual archery competition at the Athens Games on Thursday.
The resurgent 41-year-old saw off world champion Michele Frangilli of Italy and South Korean top seed Im Dong Hyun en route to the final before succumbing to Italy's Marco Galiazzo at Panathinaiko Stadium.
