Sydney Olympic gold medalist and former world record holder Maurice Greene is among the scheduled participants for the Yokohama Super track and field meet this fall, the Japan Association of Athletics Federations said Monday.
The 29-year-old American will be joined by Japan's Shingo Suetsugu and Nobuharu Asahara in the men's 100 meters in the Sept. 23 meet at International Stadium Yokohama.
Koji Murofushi will set out to defend the title he won against world champion Ivan Tikhon of Belarus in the men's hammer throw last fall.
Dai Tamesue (men's 400 hurdles), Daichi Sawano (men's pole vault) and Kayoko Fukushi (women's 5,000) will also take part in the annual meet while two-time Olympic gold medalist Heike Drechsler of Germany will be competing in the women's long jump.
