Teenager Ai Miyazato will head a field of five Japan LPGA golfers at the upcoming Women's British Open, this year's last major on the women's tour, golf officials said Wednesday.
Toshimi Kimura, Hiromi Mogi, Shiho Oyama and Taiwan's Lu Hsiao-chuan have also booked their tickets for the July 29-Aug. 1 event at Sunningdale Golf Club in England based on the JLPGA money rankings after the June 18-20 Apita Circle-K Sunkus Ladies tournament.
Money leader Yuri Fudo has opted to sit out this year's Women's British Open.
