Jose Fernandez's wild throw home on pinch hitter Noriyoshi Omichi's slow grounder to third base allowed a pair of runs to score in the bottom of the seventh inning Wednesday as the Fukuoka Daiei Hawks rallied for a 5-2 win over the Seibu Lions.
Pedro Valdes drove in another run in the seventh on an infield single as the Hawks moved back into first place in the Pacific League standings with a half-game lead over the Lions.
