Japan striker Takayuki Suzuki, who was on loan to Belgian club Heusden-Zolder, has returned to the Kashima Antlers, the J. League first division club said Monday.
Suzuki signed with Genk in 2002 but was released before moving to Heusden-Zolder on a one-year loan deal in July last year.
He scored five goals and appeared in 49 games for the Belgian club but could not save the team from relegation to the second division.
