Reigning world bronze medalist Koji Murofushi has agreed to compete in the men's hammer throw at the Prague International next week before wrapping up his U.S. training tour, athletics sources said Thursday.
Murofushi, who won his 10th straight national title earlier this month, was initially scheduled to return to Japan after training in Oregon, where he recorded a winning throw of 82.65 meters for the world's best mark this season in a Grand Prix meet last weekend.
But the 29-year-old has accepted a second request from event organizers to compete in Monday's meet in the Czech Republic, where he achieved the world's third-best throw of 84.86 meters a year ago.
