Two goals in the last three minutes from substitute Satoshi Nakayama and Masashi Oguro gave Gamba Osaka a remarkable come-from-behind win over Urawa Reds in the J. League first division on Sunday.
Brazilian striker Emerson fired Urawa into the lead in the 14th minute and drove home a pass from Alessandro Santos for his league-leading 13th goal of the season in the 27th to put the visitors firmly in control at Okayama Stadium.
But Japan midfielder Yasuhito Endo gave Gamba hope by converting a 43rd-minute penalty and Nakayama leveled in the 87th before Oguro completed the comeback by heading home the winner seconds from time.
JEF United Ichihara recorded its first win in eight matches by beating Oita Trinita away by the same scoreline in the day's other match.
Oita twice came from behind through goals from Shota Matsuhashi and Taku Harada but midfielder Satoru Yamagishi gave Ichihara all three points when he headed home the winner two minutes from time.
