Kenji Jojima belted a solo homer and Tadahito Iguchi added a two-run blast Friday to power the Daiei Hawks to a 7-3 decision over the Chiba Lotte Marines for their 10th straight win.
Jojima gave the Hawks a 1-0 lead in the second inning at Chiba Marine Stadium with his 23rd homer of the season. Iguchi then connected for his 13th homer in the third when the Hawks took a 4-1 lead.
Tsuyoshi Wada gave up three runs on seven hits over seven innings for the win as the Hawks opened up a 2 1/2-game lead over the idle Seibu Lions in the Pacific League standings.
