Hidetaka Kawagoe pitched a five-hitter and walked none in his first complete game in four years as the Orix BlueWave beat the Seibu Lions 10-3 in the Pacific League on Monday.

Kawagoe (4-3), who struck out five, allowed Kazuhiro Wada an out-of-the-park homer at Yahoo BB Stadium with two out in the ninth inning but got Masahide Kaizuka to fly out for the game-ending out.

"The offense helped me out so I was able to pitch comfortably. It's been a while since I went the distance and next time I hope to pitch a complete game shutout," said Kawagoe, who worked out of a two-out, two-on jam in the sixth.

Arihito Muramatsu and Roosevelt Brown had three RBIs apiece to head a 14-hit attack that knocked out Koji Onuma (4-4) in 2 2/3 innings.

Fighters 4, Marines 3

At Chiba Marine Stadium, Fernando Seguignol capped a four-run third inning with a two-run homer -- his 23rd homer of the season -- off Naoyuki Shimizu (3-7) as Nippon Ham edged Lotte for the team's first victory in three games and second in seven games.

Ryan Rupe (1-2) posted his first win in Japan -- setting the pace through six innings -- and three pitchers combined on a three-hitter the rest of the way. Yukiya Yokoyama got the final three outs for his 14th save.
