Shogo Akada and Masahide Kaizuka drove in a total of five runs in a 12-hit attack Monday as the front-running Seibu Lions defeated the last-place Chiba Lotte Marines 8-3 in the Pacific League.

Seibu took a 3-1 lead through the second inning and Akada and Kaizuka had RBI singles in a three-run fourth as the Lions went ahead 8-2 through the seventh at Seibu Dome.

Fumiya Nishiguchi (4-2) pitched a three-hitter over six strong innings for his first decision in a month and three relievers combined on a four-hitter the rest of the way. Seibu moved to 15-9 at home and posted its 30th victory this season.
