Schoolboy Takayuki Morimoto became the youngest ever professional player in the J. League when he signed for Tokyo Verdy on Friday, his 16th birthday.
Morimoto made his league debut against Jubilo Iwata on the opening day of the season and on Wednesday became the youngest player to score in the J. League when he headed the winner against JEF United Ichihara.
