Koichi Ogata hit a two-run homer off Yuya Ando (0-2) with two out in the ninth inning, lifting the Hiroshima Carp to a 10-8 triumph over the Hanshin Tigers in the Central League on Wednesday.

Reliever Koichi Amano (2-1) pitched a perfect ninth for the win to end Hanshin's four-game winning streak after starter Hiroki Kuroda gave up eight runs in 7 2/3 innings at Hiroshima Stadium.

Andy Sheets and Tomonori Maeda both hit two-run homers and Greg Larocca hit a lead off shot to highlight a three-run fourth. Hanshin rallied for five runs to level the game at 8-all by the eighth.

At Yokohama Stadium, pinch hitter Kazuhiro Kiyohara slammed a three-run homer in the top of the 10th inning and Junichi Kawahara held the BayStars scoreless in the bottom half in his first appearance this season to move Yomiuri to .500 with a 14-14 record.
