Naoya Tsukahara will make his third straight Olympic appearance this summer as he was one of six gymnasts named to the men's national team by the Japan Gymnastic Association on Monday.
In the individual discipline, Takehiro Kashima, who struck double apparatus gold in the pommel horse and the horizontal bar at last year's World Gymnastics Championships, and Hiroyuki Tomita, who won the bronze in the all-around final, were also selected. Isao Yoneda, Hisashi Mizutori and Daisuke Nakano are the other three.
